Doing Big Things in a Small Town

The Suffield League's mission is to promote the small town ideals of our community, to nurture the spirit of volunteerism, and to give back to our town by providing opportunities for individuals and organizations to serve by sponsoring events and projects that benefit all.

Children's Easter Egg Hunt - This event gives all the children of our community a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and find the hundreds of colorful eggs which are then turned in for prizes and treats.

Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade - In this community tribute to our military, veterans honor our servicemen during a ceremony at the town hall followed by a large parade featuring local school groups, scouts, sports clubs, churches, and a wide variety of other groups and organizations.

Suffield Music Festival - The Suffield Music Festival, our largest event of the year, offers a series of outstanding musical groups, a beer garden, a wide selection of food, games and inflatables for the children, a 5K run, a car show, a poker run, and other displays featuring local groups. This two day event, held in August at the Lion's Park, continues to grow in popularity and provides a great opportunity for local organizations to unite and work together for this celebration.

Santa in Suffield - All local children are invited to see Santa arrive on a fire engine, and then come into the festive setting of the town hall to sit with him and share their Christmas wish list. Parents may take pictures and share in the fun as members of the Suffield League hand out gifts to all the children.

Laugh at the Lake - A fundraiser held in February at Paradise Lake Golf Banquet Center. A dress-up event including a buffet dinner and live entertainment.

Flag Display - The Suffield League makes sure the flag of the United States is displayed along our roadways for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July holidays.

Suffield Cares - The Suffield League is proud to be a partner of Suffield Cares, which provides for those in need in our community.

All events are offered to the community free of admission and are designed to build community spirit. In addition to these events we also help community organizations raise funds at their events by performing such services as providing and staffing casino night games and activities or by providing staging or children's games.

Won't you consider joining the Suffield League and help us promote our town? We meet at 7:00 PM in the town hall the first Sunday of each month.

Wingfoot Lake State Park

wingfoot lake state park 20150623 1970716186

Wingfoot Lake State Park is Suffield's only park.   It was opened by the Ohio State Parks & Recreation Department in 2009.  Goodyear had operated the park since the 1960's as a private playground for its employees and for corporate retreats.  As the company footprint grew smaller in the Akron area Goodyear decided to close the park in 2006.  To learn more about the park, such as rental of the facilities, visit the park's website:  http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/wingfootlake

Town Hall Rental

The historic Suffield Town Hall can be rented by residents and non-residents for various events.  For complete information on the availability, costs and regulations on renting the Town Hall, please call the Town Hall administrator Shannon Eldreth at 330-807-0384.
